Ocean Harbor 336 - Monterey
1 Bedroom Walk To Beach Condo
You're just steps from the sand in this refurbished condo—and the first floor location (with covered parking right outside your door) makes it one of the most sought-after locations in the complex. Like a second living room, the large deck—with all-weather furniture, two chaise... more lounges, a bistro table and a barbecue—nearly doubles the interior living space, and there’s a Queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room for extra guests. The compact kitchen features sparkling quartz countertops and stainless appliances (including a radiant cooktop and a convection range). The owner loves to cook, so you’ll find everything you need here—from a waffle maker and a rice cooker to a Keurig coffeemaker. The peaceful ambiance of this beachfront complex offers guests a reason to do absolutely nothing—yet the central location is convenient to everything. World-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman’s Wharf, and the shops and restaurants of Old Monterey are all just minutes away. Tee off at any of the many fine golf courses nearby, explore Carmel, tour 17-Mile Drive, go wine tasting, or hike to secluded Big Sur beaches. You can also walk or bike on the coastal recreation trail—or take long walks on Del Monte Beach, one of the safest on the Peninsula (don't be surprised if you see sea lions, otters, or dolphins swim by!). Ocean Harbor House offers a weight room, two hot tubs, his and hers dry saunas, and two recreation rooms with pool and ping-pong tables. Laundry facilities are located on the premises. Note: One assigned parking space. Carport will accommodate a small or mid-size vehicle only. less ↑

Clean, nicely decorated, with sounds of the ocean
We stayed a month and enjoyed eating our meals on the back deck, listening to the ocean. The proximity to Del Monte Beach allowed for lunchtime beach walking, and we had our bicycles and could ride out to Lover's Point on the weekend. Close to... more Highway 1, we could hop on and head to Point Lobos, which we did at least 4 times to go tidepooling and hiking. The bathroom was a good size and the pull-out sofa allowed for for a family of three-- one queen bed and a sofa-bed. The dishes in the kitchen were minimal (i.e., no coffee mugs), but we were able to cook our meals there without issue despite it being quite cozy. We brought coffee beans, and realized there was a Keurig machine upon arrival, so this is important to note if you're going to want to prepare coffee. There was a laundry card to use in the laundry room, but we ran out of credit on it about halfway through our trip and the washer/dryer does not take a credit card, so we did have to make use of a laundromat for the second two weeks. I would recommend rationing your laundering. We made use of the barbecue one evening for dinner, which was very nice to have in the summertime. In general, a lovely time. less

We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay - this is one of our favorite units at Ocean Harbor House. I wish you had contacted me during your stay - there are a couple of machines at the complex where you can replenish funds on a laundry card with your credit card (and there is no limit as to the amount you can put onto the card).
