Ocean Harbor 336 - Monterey
1 Bedroom Walk To Beach Condo
You're just steps from the sand in this condo—and the first-floor location (with covered parking right outside your door) makes it one of the most sought-after locations in the complex. Like a second living room, the large deck—with all-weather furniture, two chaise lounges, a... more bistro table and a barbecue—nearly doubles the interior living space, and there’s a Queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room for extra guests. The compact kitchen features sparkling quartz countertops and stainless appliances (including a radiant cooktop and a convection range). The owner loves to cook, so you’ll find everything you need here—from a waffle maker and a rice cooker to a Keurig coffeemaker. The peaceful ambiance of this beachfront complex offers guests a reason to do absolutely nothing—yet the central location is convenient to everything. World-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman’s Wharf, and the shops and restaurants of Old Monterey are all just minutes away. Tee off at any of the many fine golf courses nearby, explore Carmel, tour 17-Mile Drive, go wine tasting, or hike to secluded Big Sur beaches. You can also walk or bike on the coastal recreation trail—or take long walks on Del Monte Beach, one of the safest on the Peninsula (don't be surprised if you see sea lions, otters, or dolphins swim by!). Ocean Harbor House offers a weight room, two hot tubs, his and hers dry saunas, and two recreation rooms with pool and ping-pong tables. Laundry facilities are located on the premises. Note: One assigned parking space. Carport will accommodate a small or mid-size vehicle only. less ↑

Ocean harbor was an amazing community to stay in! I thoroughly enjoyed my three month stay. 336 is perfect for a long relaxing vacation or an extended work stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking, the deck was perfect for... more relaxing with friends and the wifi was fast and reliable for online work. I loved the location and all the amenities! I would highly recommend this location to others and will definitely book again in the future! less

The rental was ok. The place needs refreshing. The 2 chairs to eat at the counter need to be replaced and the condo is supposed to be for 3 guests but only 2 chairs. There was only 2 bath towels, face cloths-and hand towels we... more had to buy more, the pillows need to be replaced we bought 2 to use, couch is getting old very uncomfortable. Could use some bowls only 1 big bowl. I see they want more money per night next year, if so need to do some of things I mentioned above. Ease of rental fine. Pool was great. Love the closeness to beach. less

Thank you for your review. We have forwarded your suggestions to the owner, but we wish we could have addressed these issues while you were here. Evidently the housekeeper had taken linens offsite to be laundered and was remiss in bringing them back before you arrived. You should have never had to buy your own towels! In fact, we would have delivered new pillows (which have since been purchased), extra bowls, and a third barstool if you had called our 24-hour maintenance line or reached out to your property manager. We deeply apologize for these inconveniences - we hope you’ll return and give us a chance to leave a better impression next time.
Clean, nicely decorated, with sounds of the ocean
We stayed a month and enjoyed eating our meals on the back deck, listening to the ocean. The proximity to Del Monte Beach allowed for lunchtime beach walking, and we had our bicycles and could ride out to Lover's Point on the weekend. Close to... more Highway 1, we could hop on and head to Point Lobos, which we did at least 4 times to go tidepooling and hiking. The bathroom was a good size and the pull-out sofa allowed for for a family of three-- one queen bed and a sofa-bed. The dishes in the kitchen were minimal (i.e., no coffee mugs), but we were able to cook our meals there without issue despite it being quite cozy. We brought coffee beans, and realized there was a Keurig machine upon arrival, so this is important to note if you're going to want to prepare coffee. There was a laundry card to use in the laundry room, but we ran out of credit on it about halfway through our trip and the washer/dryer does not take a credit card, so we did have to make use of a laundromat for the second two weeks. I would recommend rationing your laundering. We made use of the barbecue one evening for dinner, which was very nice to have in the summertime. In general, a lovely time. less

We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay - this is one of our favorite units at Ocean Harbor House. I wish you had contacted me during your stay - there are a couple of machines at the complex where you can replenish funds on a laundry card with your credit card (and there is no limit as to the amount you can put onto the card).
This unit was a relaxing retreat with a wonderful large deck to watch amazing sunsets. As a long term resident for years at Ocean Harbor House condos as well as a repeat renter this was one of my favorite units.
