Return to A Tiny House

Our second visit to A Tiny House, the first being in 2018. Monterey Bay Property Management took good care of us. They corrected a minor issue from the first trip, replacing a falling apart BBQ grill with a nice new version. This is a great little place to relax and take in all that Pacific Grove/Carmel/Monterey has to offer. Can't beat the location. The only issues, and not major problems: nicer wine glasses (larger!) would be nice. The glasses provided are serviceable but not great if you are any kind of wine geek. Also, the kitchen knives are very dull .... better to bring your own. I like to cook! Again these are minor issues, nothing that would keep us from coming back. One thing that was a problem was there's a new house being built directly behind A Tiny House. Pounding and power saws began at 8:00 and continued non-stop until 4:00 or 4:30. The weekend was quiet but very noisy on M/TU/WED/THURS. I'm sure this is a temporary problem but it would have been nice to have been told ahead of time about the construction. We might have decided on a different property. Not a deal breaker and we look forward to the next visit. Great little home in a terrific neighborhood.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED

The Tiny House has everything you need for a wonderful stay in Monterey. We have stayed there 3 times and intend to return. Location to the ocean can’t be beat. I walk 4 miles every day and while at the tiny house I have the best views in the world. From the tiny house you can get to all the major attractions and restaurants in minutes. The house is equipped with an excellent kitchen and a quality outdoor grill. You can’t go wrong.

My wife and I booked a spur-of-the-moment getaway and BOY did we luck out!I almost hate to give this place the review it deserves because it will become so popular we'll never get back in....but that would be dishonest...This little place is fully equipped, centrally located (you can walk to Lover's Point and the beach, the Wharf and Cannery Row are minutes away) and quiet at night. We loved our stay and will return.
The perfect place

The tiny house is located in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Each day I walked down the street to the Pacific and walked to Cannery Row. I stopped to see the seals on the beach. I took pictures to send home to friends to share the beauty. And, if you walk the other way on the street you are in the town of Pacific Grove with shops and restaurants to numerous to list. The house itself is just perfect for a couple or a young family. It has everything you need. We used the gas grill almost everyday. This year we could see the updates that were made to enhance the experience. My wife and I always say we wish we could just live forever in the Tiny House.

A Tiny House is the perfect place to take in the beauty of Pacific Grove and adjoining Asilomar State Beach. Everything is within walking distance: downtown with great restaurants; Lover's Point and path to Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row; and beautiful Asilomar State Beach. I never had to get in my car once after I arrived which I loved! A Tiny House is in a very quiet and well manicured neighborhood. The house itself was very quaint and comfortable- and plenty spacious - not that "Tiny" - definitely a do again and I highly recommend it!
Tiny House, Big Heart

We enjoyed our stay at the Tiny House. It was the perfect size for us 2. Location was great for Pacific Grove - just 3 easy walking blocks to the Pacific Grove shopping area, 3 easy blocks to Lovers Point Park area. Driving to the Aquarium and Fisherman's Wharf was easy. Walkable also but it would be a walk! The house itself would accommodate more than 2 but I think you would be bumping elbows. We were advised that parking was tight...and they were right. Driveway very small, street narrow. We brought our Rav fortunately and it barely fit! The neighborhood was quiet and very charming. The only negative was the A/C unit...we could not understand how to operate. It ran more than it needed to! Possibly more instructions for the unit would help. Our final day, as we were packing up the car, a deer walked up the street. It was the cherry on top!
Would we stay there again - YES. Do we recommend it to others - YES.
Sounds like you had a great stay! A note on the A/C: the average high temperatureon the Monterey Peninsula is 70 degrees, so our properties do not have airconditioning (you probably had the "fan" on the thermostat set to on, which circulates the air). We do supply all our homes with fans in case of an unseasonably warm day, but usually an open window and a sea breeze is all the cooling you will need.

We stayed here for 6 nights, and wish we had discovered this house long ago. Quiet neighborhood, perfect house for two people, everything you need is there. There was absolutely nothing we needed or thought the house could use. We cooked most of our meals in and it was perfect. Close to town, the water, a short drive into Monterey/Carmel. The process through the rental agency was flawless!! This will be the first place to look for availability on our next visit to the area.

Great little place.....perfect for two. Definitely will visit here again next trip. The kitchen was well stocked (I like to cook) with everything you need. My only complaint was that the house description included a comment that there was a grill. We’ll, there was a grill but when I went to open the door to turn on the gas, it fell off in my hand. Only two of the three burners worked so difficult to get the heat high enough to cook anything......good thing we like our burgers on the rare side. Just a minor issue that I’m sure will be addressed. Again, a nice little house close to the water......great for morning runs! Looking forward to the next visit.
Thank you for the heads up: we just replaced the barbecue grill, but we wish you would have called our 24 hour maintenance line so we could have done it while you were here!

For a Tiny House, It had all that was needed. The convenience of it's location made for a perfect stay in the great little town of Pacific Grove. My time was scheduled for the Monterey Historic race weekend. There was so much going on that it was almost impossible to take in all of the sights and sounds. It was a pleasure to return to the quiet Tiny House. I'll be booking again soon.
