Blue Horizons - Pacific Grove

 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Beach House

You won’t believe the view from this beach house: otters in the kelp beds, fishing trawlers, sailboats, and at night—the moon over Monterey Bay. You’ll be spending most of your time on the upstairs balcony or in the great room, which features a fireplace and a comfortable leather sofa and chairs. There’s a full bath with shower, a dining table for eight, a sunny kitchen with a professional gas range, and a breakfast nook that seats four. The master bedroom has a King bed, a large TV, and doors that open to the living room balcony. The en suite bath features a double vanity, soaking tub, walk-in shower and a large closet. Downstairs, there’s an office area off the entry, a laundry room, a bath with a shower, a den with two sofas and a TV, and two additional guest rooms. One has a Queen bed; the “blue room" has three twins (bunk beds and one separate twin) along with ocean-themed murals on the walls and ceilings. (NOTE: King and Queen mattresses are new and foam toppers have been added to the twins.) This home includes a two car garage, a central vac, solar backup batteries (in case of power outage), and a portable propane barbecue (when you’re not enjoying one of Pacific Grove’s amazing restaurants). The coastal path is right across the street; Lover’s Point Beach is a five minute walk; Cannery Row and the Aquarium are just 1.5 miles away. Pacific Grove Transient Use License #0404 less ↑

Fantastic views of bay. Location was great. Large spacious two house. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied with needed cooking and dining needs. We would definitely recommend this location.

Our family stay at Blue Horizons beach house was wonderful, as always. Everything was clean, blankets were nice and warm and the kitchen was generally well-equipped. The bay window view of the ocean was great, especially when the moon rose over it.

We had a relaxing time at Blue Horizons, conveniently located in Pacific Grove--a central location to explore the Monterey/Carmel area. The house had a well equipped kitchen and a spectacular view of the bay and cute otters. Highly recommend for a couple or small group/family. Enjoy! less

Perfect view. Very comfortable for 3 couples. Have been there 4 times already and have enjoyed each time.

My grandsons call Blue Horizons my Monterey Beach House because they love coming here every year. The big living room windows look out on Monterey Bay and a little sandy cove is accessible from a trail across the street. The kitchen is well-appointed and large enough to accommodate 2 or 3 people working at the same time. Bring your own food and condiments, and, if you want a casserole, bring a casserole dish. A large roasting pan and other pots and pans are there, as are plates, etc. and silverware. less

Perfect set-up for 3 couples. It is within walking distance to Monterey and Asilomar Beach. Very comfortable house with awesome views of the ocean and its wildlife.

We absolutely loved the location and the amazing front window. we watched sunrises, sunsets, sea otters, dolphins, grey whales, pelicans, sea lions, harbour seals from the main window. We walked to lovers point, walked to kissing rock, walking to the aquarium. It was all so convenient. The stairs are quite steep so be aware, and the upstairs floor creaked so when i went to the bathroom in the night it disturbed others. But we would definitely stay again. less

Six of us spent three nights at this home (our second time). There isn't a better view and the location is perfect for a walk along Monterey Bay. It's so close to so much to see and do. The house has everything you would need and is very nicely furnished - a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Some elements are a bit dated and could use some updating but other than that, I can only say that we'll be back! less

Blue Horizon is a great house. I was worried about no air conditioning but it was totally fine. No need at all. The house is super great for 3 small families. The views as noted are aaaamazing. The telescope is an amazing touch. We saw many a whales breaching! Location is great for exploring the area. 2 miles from the 17 mile drive and 1.5 miles from the aquarium. I wish I could have stayed longer. The house was very peaceful. Definitely a feeling of zen there. If I had to suggest one thing it would be black out curtains in the master. But that’s being super picky. Blue Horizon I hope I see you again. less

The house was lovely and the view fantastic! The only suggestion I would make is that mattress on the queen bed in the downstairs bedroom should be replaced. It is very soft and my daughter and her husband woke up every day with serious back pain. Despite that we will return! less

This house was perfect for 3 active couples. We walked, rode our bikes and kayaked over the 3 days we stayed at the house. In between activites we would just stare out the window and enjoy the view. We will be back.

This house was fantastic! We loved the views, being able to walk along the shore just outside, and the space. The kitchen has everything we needed and all the beds were comfortable. No complaints.

Loved the upstairs - great living room, master bedroom bathroom suite, kitchen, dining room and fabulous view of the ocean. The downstairs needs overhauling - the beds were uncomfortable and the rooms too small and house doesn’t work for 2 couples and children. Very disappointed.

The house and the view were both beautiful. There was lots of helpful information posted around the house. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. We even saw a whale while eating dinner on our second night. Nobody had any complaints at all.

Wow - just wow! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! Warm, welcoming, and beautiful! The location is amazing!!! The view speaks for itself - but we didn’t realize it is right across from a bike/hike/running trail that has to be one of our country’s most beauiful! Don’t miss this. It’s a true treasure. ❤️❤️❤️ less

What a beautiful home! Perfect location for downtown Pacific Grove. Kitchen is fully stocked. Living room has a view that makes you never want to leave. They even have a telescope so you can check out all the activity in the ocean! Great library downstairs. Plenty of bathrooms. Huge garage. It was amazing for our girls weekend. The only slight downside is the kids room is not really designed for having adults in there. But with 4 of us, it was great! less

The process to reserve the house went smoothly. Mostly on line, but with some phone calls. Michelle was great in answering questions and helping make the reservation. Check in was easy and they were ready for us when we arrived. Only took a minute or two. Directions in the written materials were quite good and thorough. The house itself was great and just as advertised. It was clean upon arrival and well furnished with everything we needed. Since there were only four of us and we ate meals out for the most part, we did not take full advantage of the house. But the beds were great and showers and bathrooms great. Hard to suggest any improvements. One very small suggestion would be directions for the master shower. In order to get warm water, one needs to have the control set in the middle. If you go all the way counterclockwise, it turns cold again. It took us a shower or two to figure this out. But once we did, it worked great. less

The location and view could not be more perfect. The large picture window is like looking at a National Geographic tv show. There were otters, seals and dolphin in the area almost all the time with tons of birds to enjoy as well. The spotting scope provided on a tripod is a wonderful touch. The house has a wonderful walking trail that leads to a point to watch the sunset in one direction and a nice restaurant and bar in the other. Big Sur and the 17 mile drive are easily reached from this location. While there are a few fixtures that could use updating, the pictures you see are exactly what you get. The furniture is comfortable and the instructions on how to use everything are precise. The kitchen is also well outfitted for cooking at the house and enjoying the view from the dining table. All in all, this place is fantastic. less

My wife suggested that we rent a home for our family, and her parents and sister to join us in Carmel for Christmas. After reviewing what was available on-line, I quickly told her that we needed to stay in Monterey and that I have the perfect place! She was disappointed at first, but she felt better when she saw the place, and when we were there, she said this is much better than what she was thinking for Carmel and she's so happy that we decided to stay there. Our view on Ocean View Blvd was incredible! Oh My!!! It was the most heavenly view!! Did I mention that we had a great view? Ha! There were seven of us, and it slept seven with 3 great bathrooms, a fantastic kitchen and plenty of room to hang out in a room by yourself too. Check-in and check-out was extremely easy. All instructions were simple. Although we didn't get the fireplace to work, we got over it quickly enough and we were completely amazed how friendly and helpful the young lady was when we called the help number to discuss the problem on Christmas Eve. Each morning involved a walk on the coast. The afternoons were in Pacific Grove, Monterey, and even Carmel. My father-in-law and I even got to play golf at the Pacific Grove Golf Course. Thanks for the great stay and I hope to see you again. less
