1080 sq. ft. | 2 Bedroom | 1 Bath | Sleeps 4 (2Q) Max. Occupancy 4
This cottage—complete with a white picket fence—looks like it came straight out of a storybook. And the location couldn’t be more enchanting: in just a few blocks you can be shopping, dining, or sipping a latte at one of Pacific Grove’s quaint coffee shops—or communing with seals and sea otters on the coastal recreational trail.
There’s a peek of ocean from the front steps, and a huge backyard with a dining table, barbecue, and four Adirondack chairs around a wood-burning firepit for cozy evenings under the stars. The living room has hardwood floors and a barrel ceiling (the fireplace is unusable, but it's stocked with decorative candles for ambiance), the dining room seats six, and the kitchen features stainless appliances and a new five-burner gas cooktop. Both bedrooms have Queen sleigh beds, and the bath has a tub/shower combination.
From the annual Butterfly Parade to the apple trees around Caledonia Park, there's a reason Pacific Grove is called "America's last hometown." A more casual—but no less charming—alternative to Carmel, Pacific Grove is a seaside enclave of restored Victorians and beach bungalows. And the walkable downtown has something for everyone: boutiques, galleries, antique and consignment shops, a cinema, a bookstore—and too many coffeehouses to count.

The cottage is in a wonderful location on a quiet street. It is fully equipped and sparkly clean. Everything you need has been made ready for you. Good internet and TV. Comfortable beds and furniture make this a place where you just want to stay and relax. It's a good place for walks down to the oceanfront. Deer abound in the area. You will not be disappointed. This is a gem.
A peaceful refuge

This is our second year at Snow White's cottage, and it was just as delightful this time! The cottage decor is fitting with the name, with lovely and quaint details that make you feel like you're in the middle of the forest! And yet you're just a quick walk to Lover's Point, and you can even see the bay from the living room. The house is in a very quiet residential area, with very little traffic. We enjoyed just sitting in the living room, looking out at the water and the trees--it is so peaceful and relaxing, and we wished we could stay longer! The home is meticulously clean and well cared for, and it has all you need for a comfortable stay. There are televisions in both bedrooms and the living room, with cable, Blu Ray player, and a nice selection of dvd's. There is also a good selection of board games and some good books to read on the shelves. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked, and the back yard has some nice places to sit and enjoy a good book or have a barbecue on the grill. We love visiting and will definitely be back!
A Real Treasure

We recently stayed at Snow White's Cottage in Pacific Grove. What an amazing experience and so a treasure of a place to stay. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. The entire experience from the time of booking to picking up the key to check-out was very organized. The home was very clean, well-stocked, and had a wonderful "homey" feel. Even though the home does not truly have an ocean view according to advertisements, you actually see the water from the living room, an added plus. The location is excellent, easy to walk to the water and so close to restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. It was only three of us in the home so it was very comfortable and we were all very impressed and know we will return again. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing trip.
Fabulous Quiet Rental

We absolutely loved this rental. The location is perfect. The house is situated in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance to the ocean and beach paths, quick easy drive to any markets or sights. We found the house to be very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Everything was in great working condition and good quality. Check in and check out was quick and easy. We loved how quiet and relaxing this location was - we fell in love with the neighborhood. The peek of the ocean from the front living room was a nice surprise. We had deer visiting the front yard each day, which our son loved to watch. The back yard is gorgeous. This house is perfect for couples and small families. We found everything we needed in the house. My only suggestions (which are small and noncritical) would be to provide a recycling guide for the area. Our hometown recycles much differently and it would have been nice to have a clear guideline for what PG recycles curbside. Also, beach towels would have been a bonus. We were 100% happy with our stay and service from Monterey Bay Property Management. We definitely plan to book this property again!!!

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Snow White's cottage. Very comfy bed, clean & well equipped. I had forgotten how long to steam an artichoke so having the Joy of Cooking cookbook in the kitchen was a nice touch! We brought our own firewood to enjoy the outdoor fireplace in backyard --- beautiful place to relax & hangout. Easy walk to ocean's edge.
A Fairytale Stay

The cottage does not disappoint. It is utterly charming and tastefully furnished. The dishes, glassware and cookware are plentiful along with little extras that just made me sigh with contentment
On two of the mornings during our stay we had deer in the front yard join us for breakfast. We enjoyed our short walks down to the ocean and the quaint downtown of Pacific Grove.
Our only disappointment was not being able to use the fireplace shown in the pictures. That fireplace was one of the reasons we chose this rental and upon arrival we found no grate but candles had been placed as a decorative feature.

Beautiful house. We stayed for or honeymoon and could not be more pleased and impressed. The house was well stocked with supplies all through out and kept us happy and feeling at home. There’s a bunch of shops and restaurants along the way and a quick 10 minute walk(if even that) from the beach. Best thing we loved was having the aquarium right around the corner.

The house was great. Very comfortable and fully stocked. Only complaint was that we couldn’t get the heater to work and it needed a new filter too. Thankfully there were plenty of blankets! We will be back!
Oh, my goodness... we're glad you stayed warm, but we wish you would have called our 24/7 maintenance line about the heater problem! We've addressed the thermostat issue (it needed new batteries) and replaced the furnace filter.

My family comes down to the Monterey area every summer for a vacation, and we like trying different homes to rent. This cottage was by far the best place we've ever stayed! The location is just a few blocks from the water near Lover's Point, so we were able to go for lovely walks along the shore right from our front door! Everything about this home is wonderful--there is a partial ocean view from the living room; the rooms are light and bright; the home is adorable with curved doorways and beautiful beach-y artwork everywhere; it is very clean and well cared-for; it's in an extremely quiet neighborhood; the beds are comfortable; the kitchen is well-stocked with supplies for cooking and nice dinnerware; the backyard is huge with a nice firepit (which we used to sit outside in the evening); and the price is extremely reasonable! My family loved every minute we were here and wished we could stay longer! We will be back next year! Thanks for a very enjoyable experience!

We had a great stay at this cottage. It is in a perfect location, close to everything we wanted to do. Walking to Lovers Point where they have a trail along the coast every morning was my favorite. We had lots of fun gathering around the fire pit at night talking, and playing games. The beds are comfy and the house had everything we needed. It's a charming house, it just feels like home when you get back from a long day of sightseeing.

My husband, adult daughter, and I recently traveled to the Monterey Bay area to visit our son who is stationed at the Presidio. Because we were there for a full week we really wanted an entire house with a kitchen and room to spread out. Snow White's Cottage was perfect for us!
The home is very well cared for and has everything you could possibly need. There were more than enough towels and linens and a well-appointed kitchen and outdoor grill which helped us save a ton of money on eating out. TVs in the living room and each bedroom were appreciated at the end of busy days and the games were perfect for family time. The back yard and fire pit are beautiful but we never used it because we were so tired each night (there's tons of stuff to do in the area!). And the washer/dryer meant we didn't have to bring home dirty clothes.
The neighborhood is quiet and residential and very walkable. Just a few minutes down the road is Lover's Point Park and the recreation trail where you can rent bikes or kayaks.
The key pickup and drop-off was a simple process. A previous review mentioned a few maintenance issues which we didn't see at all. Everything worked perfectly, was spotless, and we would definitely rent here again. Do not hesitate to book this cottage for your family!
Thank you, Snow White!

My husband and I just returned from our 11-day stay in the cottage and have been eager to write a positive review. The house is perfectly suited for two people, is light, clean and fresh and feels roomy, the back yard is exceptionally inviting and the neighborhood is quiet and comfortable and walkable.
In the spirit of your informational packet that says you don't stay there so would appreciate comments on things that need fixing, we offer:
All the doors squeak, front and indoors, including closets and could be oiled. The furnace filter message is on that says the filter needs replacing. There are ants in the kitchen, maybe a couple a dozen a day, wandering across the counters. Is the water filter in the Brita pitcher ever changed?
These are by no means complaints, just helpful suggestions to make the visits of future renters more pleasant, and that includes ourselves as we will be back in July for a two-week stay. Please thank the owners for sharing their cosy place. Wish we could buy it!!!!!

Lovely Stay at Snow White's Cottage

Hubby and I took the two grandkids for a winter break getaway to Pacific Grove, and stayed at Snow White's Cottage. We've used Monterey Bay rentals before, but this was our first time in this rental. My impression was that it was new in their inventory.
We loved it! It isn't fancy (which the price, on the lower end for Monterey Bay Rentals, reflects, but it is very comfortable. Very nice beds, VERY quiet! Wish I could afford to buy a place like this. It is an older home, with charming details including high arched ceilings. You get a peak a boo view of the ocean from the living room and dining room. You can walk to the ocean (about four or five blocks) or to downtown Pacific Grove (perhaps half a mile or a bit more). Lovely and quiet neighborhood, plenty of off street parking. The kitchen had lots of counter space and was well equipped, with a large dishwasher and a new, sparkling clean gas stove and oven. With kids, most of our cooking was at home. There was a very nice gas grill on the back patio which I wanted to try, but it was cold and rainy much of the time we were there so we never got around to it. Next time! (and there will be a next time, I've already booked a return trip later in the year for the two of us).
A big plus is that there is a HUGE backyard (and a fairly large front yard as well)....kids loved that, even when the weather wasn't great, and when it was nice the adults loved sitting out there. Really pleasant and private. There is an outdoor fireplace, again, something else to try next time! Another plus is lots of storage, including a big walk in closet in one bedroom. All three rooms have TVs, though we only used the one in the living room.
Just a note: the pictures showed an entrance to the bathroom from a bedroom; there is also an entrance from the hall right next to the other bedroom. The bedroom without the direct entrance to the bathroom is actually a bit bigger I think (It definitely has the larger closet) and felt more private to us (further back in the corner of the house), so I was glad we didn't have to walk through a bedroom to get to the bathroom. The set up was great for two adults and two small kids. It might be a little tight for two couples.
Speaking of kids, they loved the picket fence in front and the cottage appearance....my grandson, just turned four, was really convinced that it was in fact Snow White's Cottage. And when we saw dear just outside in the am, he was enchanted!
