1800 sq. ft. | 3 Bedroom | 2 Bath | Sleeps 6 (1K, 1Q, 1T, 1T) Max. Occupancy 6
Located in the glorious southern end of Carmel, Point Break is the vacation property you will love coming home to after a sun-kissed day at the beach. Plush beds with crisp white linens you'll want to dive into. A bubbling spa under an exquisite coral maple, and a firepit for evenings under the stars.
The open kitchen features Thermador appliances (including a five-burner gas cooktop and an espresso machine)—and outside there are a multitude of places to enjoy your morning coffee, because this home was designed for indoor/outdoor living. The backyard has numerous patios for entertaining or relaxing. The private front courtyard has a dining table, a fountain - and everyone's favorite spot - an oversized circular chaise with a canopy for sunning, reading, or napping.
The dining room seats 6-7 and the adjoining living room—with a gas fireplace and a 55" SmartTV (free streaming Netflix)—is stocked with games and toys (even a Karaoke machine!). The light, bright interior features driftwood grey cabinetry, oak floors, and hand-picked objets de art to delight your eye at every turn. The Twin (with a trundle) and a Queen bedroom (with a ridgeline panorama of the Carmel Highlands) share an elegant hall bath with a marble vessel sink, antique vanity, and a walk-in shower lined in lustrous stone.
The skylit master bedroom is a symphony of soft silver and lilac. There's an oversized daybed for TV viewing (or extra sleeping), and an ensuite bath worthy of Architectural Digest. Featuring cream-colored, variegated travertine, a pebbled backdrop, two vessel sinks, a large walk-in rain shower, and a freestanding soaking tub set in a bed of smooth white river rock, it's a study in purity and style.
An easy, 5-7 minute walk past protected wetlands leads to Carmel River State Beach (sunning, swimming, kayaking). All this, plus close proximity to Mission Ranch and all the charms of downtown Carmel, with the beauty of Big Sur just a heartbeat away…. this is one home you will never want to leave.

This home is very beautiful, inviting, nicely appointed, and comfortable. We had only 2 in our party, but this home can easily accomodate 4, plus 2 kids, if necessary. But, it was perfect for us. The front patio was so relaxing and picturesque, wth the foothills in the back ground and the lovely landscaping and flowers in the patio to enjoy. The walk to the Carmel State Beach was short, and the Scenic drive was nearby as well, for strolling. The only drawback was that walking to Ocean Ave, where all the shops and restaurants are located, was a bit of a hike. So we drove there, but then parking was a bit of a challenge. This is a quiet, residential area, where at night, you can see all the stars in the sky and enjoy the peace and solitude!
I only gave this home 4 out of 5 stars, because the only thing missing, was an oceanfront view to see and listen to the crashing waves. But, it was a short walk to get there. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Beautiful and Cozy House.

The house was more beautiful in person. It was not too big and not too small ....it was perfect. The back yard was nicely landscaped with a fire pit and a jacuzzi which we loved. And the front area was perfect for enjoying a meal. The house was well equipped it had everything you needed. We are all ready planning our next trip back to Point Break. Michelle and Ashley ( Associates of Monterey Rentals ) went above and beyond for us they made us feel like VIP clients and that is part of the reason I will be looking to there rental company for my trips back to the Monterey and Carmel area.
Right out of a magazine. Great rental, close to the beach.

This house has been recently remodeled and it is beautiful. It was tight for our family of 6 but we made it work. There is a trundle under the day bed and a twin bed in the master. The master is around the corner with a heavy door which kept the noise down when the kids got up early. The living room has lots of fun things. Toys for the kids, kareoke machine and books for grown ups. Great location within walking distance of the beach. There's a school playground a block away. We walked to Mission Ranch Inn for Thanksgiving Dinner. The neighborhood was just far enough away from Ocean Street tourist travel to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to walk there. The house is well equipped. The beds and linens were very nice. Kitchen well stocked. Everything was very clean. The backyard and hot tub felt like a little resort. It felt like we were right out of Coastal Living magazine. The only thing I'd change is for the owners to provide more Nespresso pods for the espresso machine. We ran out and you can only get them by mail order. I also wish there was a lock box for the keys. The rental office is a 20 min drive away in Monterey and I hadn't read the contract to see that we needed to pick up and return the keys there. I'd rent this place again in a heartbeat and have already suggested it to friends.
