1650 sq. ft. | 3 Bedroom | 2 ½ Bath | Sleeps 6 (2Q, 2T) Max. Occupancy 6
Ever dreamed of staying in a “doll” house? This bright yellow Victorian charmer is just a short stroll to the beach and town. And if there are little ones in your party, Caledonia Park is right outside your back door! The beautiful coastline and recreation trail are just minutes away: pack a lunch, pick a spot on one of the many benches, and commune with sea otters, harbor seals and sea birds as local fishing and whale watching boats return to Fisherman’s Wharf. A golfer? You’re close to the Pacific Grove Municipal Course, and a short drive from some of the finest courses in the world. A shopper? The amazing boutiques of Carmel are equally as convenient.
This two story 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath Victorian has hardwood floors, carpeted bedrooms, a fireplace in the living room, a cozy study, and charming touches throughout - like built-in banquette seating in the kitchen.
And you’ll enjoy the outdoor spaces as well as the indoor ones: the small back yard is fenced (yes, it’s dog friendly) and the deck off the dining area is a great place for a BBQ - or just sitting and soaking up the sun.
It’s walking distance to the all the charms of downtown Pacific Grove, the Aquarium and Cannery Row, and a short drive to Fisherman’s Wharf and the great restaurants of New Monterey.

The only thing about the house that is victorian is the front porch. The inside of the house lacked victorian charm, but it was clean, spacious, kitchen fully stocked with dish sets, glassware, various pots and pans and extra bedding and towels. We loved the location and the quiet neighborhood. My only suggestion is that visitors should be informed to conserve water and be provided instructions on how to turn on the TV, work the stove and washing machine.
What we didn't love was the attitude of the property management. Arriving a bit early, we asked for the key and were told the house wasn't ready and to return at the 3:00 p.m. check-in time. We were not provided with any suggestions as to what we could do in the area until check-in time. Very unwelcoming!
We have circulated your review around the entire office because we pride ourselves on creating a positive atmosphere and providing exemplary service.
In fact, we consider Ashley, our reservationist, to be Monterey’s “unofficial tour guide” because she knows so much about the area and shares it so freely - so we can only surmise that she was absent (or busy with another customer) when you came in.
In any case, your review was a good wake-up call for our entire staff, and we hope you were able to find something to occupy yourself (our office is one block from the Aquarium and Cannery Row, a wealth of restaurants and shops). At your suggestion, we are providing instructions for the TV, stove and washer, and a note to remind guests about the necessity of conserving water.
Lovely Victorian Dollhouse

We had a great time staying at the Victorian Dollhouse. We had one couple and two single people. It was great having 2 1/2 baths and 3 bedrooms. Everything was at the house and it was great that we could sit around and enjoy each other's company. We were in town for a wedding celebration so 2 of us were from Kentucky and the couple was from Ogden, Utah. I would highly recommend renting this house for a short or long vacation. The location was great as you could walk to restaurants and other attractions.
The Doll House

The location of the house is perfect; it's literally two blocks from most things. We walked to the water, museums, and restaurants. We literally did not need our car unless we traveled further out for specific grocery stores. The yard is dog friendly with a fenced in area. We had our two German Shepherds with us and they were quite comfortable even though they are used to having several acres to play within. In addition, we found public tennis courts close by, again within walking distance although we chose to drive. We will definitely consider staying here again when our plans include travel to Pacific Grove.
A great location and just like home!

This roomy house was comfortable and had everything you could need for a great get away. It was conveniently located to all the sights and within easy walking distance to shops and great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!
Very cute and comfortable.

As the trip planner for my family reunion group, it is very important to choose good housing. It is always a risk if you don't check it out yourself first. This place was not a disappointment. We were very pleased. We rented 3 houses from Monterey Bay Rentals and they were all clean and well kept. We had one issue with a toilet in this unit, but the maintenance crew resolved it quickly (even though it was evening time). We would stay here again.

This is the second year in a row that we have used Monterey Rentals and will continue to use them. The house is in a fabulous location. Short walk to both downtown Pacific Grove and the beach. Kids loved it as well as the dogs. The park was great to slip over and let the kids play. I would rent this house again. The only issues we had was the washer/ dryer broke just before we arrived, but Michelle let us know and we packed accordingly. There was some minor cleanliness but that might have due to the washer/dryer.Service was excellent and check-in and out was a breeze.
Great location, Kids Loved Nearby Park

We rented this house to enjoy a family vacation and spend time with our parents/grandparents. We had our almost 3 year old, 9 month old, my spouse and I, and his parents.
The kids loved the park across the street. There were lots of friendly neighborhood kids playing here daily. We enjoyed a beach outing at Lovers Point which is a close walk, and of course we enjoyed the aquarium. The nearby stroll through quaint Pacific Grove was also fun.
The home offered a fairly large dining table we could gather around. The beds, at least in the Master were comfortable (the only one I slept in). All 3 bedrooms were upstairs which may be difficult for older travelers.
We would stay here again.
A lovely house in quiet surroundings

We chose this rental property because it was within walking distance of the ocean and Monterey visitor attractions. We hadn't expected to find Pacific Grove itself so pleasant - this quiet and peaceful area is of historic interest and has its own coffee shops and a variety of restaurants. The house itself is quaint and comfortable and bigger than it looks from the outside. The gas hob in the kitchen could do with renewal, as could the rather soft mattress on the main double bed - but these are minor gripes. Otherwise the house is spacious and comfortable and tastefully furnished. We particularly liked the small alcove set out as a little library, with a good selection of books. We would stay there again and would highly recommend this rental property.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! Re the gas nob: the owners have just replaced the oven range, stove top and vent.

Carmel with great shopping and food is a short drive from this house.
