Perfect house for family gathering
Reviewed by MoragaMag
The house has great gathering spaces, is well-equipped and well-maintained. The only minor issue was that there was one incomplete set of dishes (i.e. only 7 place settings) which necessitated running the dishwasher each time we wanted to plan a meal. It would be nice if the homeowners had at least two full sets of all dishes. On the plus side, when we called the management company about this, someone responded immediately and brought us the 8th place setting we needed for a dinner party.
Beautiful, spacious home with everything you need

Overall great experience. I came to Casa di Fortuna with four others for a conference at the Asilomar Conference Center. It's a nice walk to Asilomar and it's a very short walk to a number of quaint shops and restaurants, as well as Lover's Point. The home is quite spacious. There were five total in our party and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The full kitchen and bbq gave us the freedom to cook our own meals. All of this came a great price that was cheaper than any hotel/motel in the area.
Comfortable and room for all, but a couple glitches

The property was very comfortable and had plenty of space but there were a couple problems...ants in the bedroom/kitchen, dead batteries in thermostat so the heat wouldn't come on, and no instructions on how to operate the TV or fireplaces. The problems were not major enough to caused us not to have a good time. A little extra attention to these details would have been nice. The cleaning fee was pretty high but I knew that when I rented the place. However for a weekend stay it did bump the price by 30%.
I’m sorry about the dead batteries and the ants! (Thank you for bringing them to our attention right after you arrived. Our records show that our handyman responded to both issues right away and instructed you in how to use the TV and fireplaces.)
We do understand that the cost of cleaning can significantly bump up the rate, particularly on a shorter stay such as yours. We use only licensed and bonded housekeepers; their fees cover the cost to clean a 2,000 square foot home from “top to bottom.”
Beautiful home in great location

We loved our stay in this spacious, lovely house which is on a quiet street and in a great location. The bedrooms and living rooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen and dining room are a pleasure to cook and eat in. It's within walking distance of a number of excellent restaurants and enjoyable stores which we loved exploring and we found it an easy drive to Cannery Row, Carmel, Big Sur, and the 17 mile Drive. We highly recommend this gracious, accommodating house for a Monterey holiday!
Spanish Elegance in Pacific Grove

This is a lovely, beautifully furnished home in a convenient central location. It's fully equipped with everything you need. It's larger than it appears in the photos, with several spacious areas for entertaining or relaxing. Our stay was business related but we did take the time to walk to Lover's Point on evening and it's a very short walk. Kyle was helpful and made our stay easy. We look forward to staying here again.
Perfect for a family getaway

My family rented this house for the weekend. It was in a perfect location, close to downtown Pacific Grove. The house is beautifully decorated, with plenty of space. The kitchen was clean and organized. I was able to find everything easily. The house has plenty of extra towels, blankets, etc.. Great enclosed patio in the back for your young children to safely play in.
Beautiful, well-located home that's great for a group

We rented this home for a last-minute family trip to Pacafic Grove for President's weekend. The house was beautiful and very well- decorated. The artwork alone is stunning! Lots of natural light throughout the house (but great shades is you want to nap during the day). Two gas fireplaces keep the house house warm and cozy (although there's regular heat as well). The beds we're very comfortable with high-end linens. The kitchen was stock with everything you need for cooking, and everything is brand new. One evening we had 5 adults and 5 kids at the home and we were very comfortable. The way the house is set up, you have lots of room for people to move about and socialize. There's even a large patio on the back. The house sleeps lots of people (we we're traveling with my toddler who slept in her pack-n-play in the master bedroom walk-in closet. Great place for a family reunion - I'd definitely stay here again. And a fantastic value for what you get.
