The "Dolphin" is a romantic beach house only steps away from the white sands of Carmel's world famous beach. 

It is one of the few houses located west (ocean) side of Scenic Road, bordering the beach, and Carmel's most beautiful drive. The 3-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house is set well back from the road and is surrounded by a high ivy hedge which guarantees privacy for its lovely garden and patios. 

One enters the property through a wooden door that prevents the passerby from seeing the interior of the "secret garden" within.

Crossing a small lawn area on a stone path and patio brings one to the front door. The door opens into a small entry hall and then the Living Room. 

Here the visitor is impressed by the sight of the ocean through the French doors that lead to the Deck. 

The fireplace, beamed ceiling, comfortable furnishings, hardwood floors, paintings, and books evoke a cozy atmosphere. 

The Deck provides a panoramic ocean view, framed by the beach, cypress trees, and surfers, including a picture quality look at Point Lobos. 

The master bedroom feature a stunning view of Pebble Beach Golf Course, another segment of beach, and Carmel Bay, from its large, shuttered, bay window. 

A large skylight floods the kitchen with sunlight, making it a very pleasant place for home chefs to work (and play). The dining room is an offshoot of the living room and seats 6. 

There is also a very warm and pleasant Den, in which one of the 4 TVs resides (with DVD). The Den is also equipped with a table that can be a dining place for dyed-in-the-wool TV watchers. 

French doors open on a patio outside the Den and a barbecue is provided for our guests enjoyment. Since the house is built on a beach bluff, the downstairs two bedrooms (both have bay windows) bath, and laundry are flooded with light. 

The downstairs bedrooms have queen beds, while the Master Bedroom has a King size bed. 

There is a small sheltered, backyard patio adjoining one of the guest bedrooms. 

It is equipped with a hose bib for washing sand off surfboards and wet-suits. Sun is abundant on all of the patios and the deck, when available.

This home also has DSL.


Monthly rates include local phone service, cable TV, water, trash collection, and all related taxes, fees and move-out housekeeping. Monthly rates do not include gas and electricity.
