The Otter House is a charming single-story home, approximately 1000 square feet and conveniently located blocks from the historic Cannery Row immortalized in the stories of John Steinbeck where restaurants and night life are abundant. You are invited to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium with complimentary passes available upon request.

The home is within a short fifteen minute walk to Downtown Monterey and Pacific Grove where you can enjoy the ocean, biking and walking trails. By car, you are minutes from golf courses and the galleries and boutiques of Carmel and the Big Sur Coast.

The Otter House is cheerfully decorated with antiques, local and Hawaiian accents. You will enjoy a good night’s sleep in one of two bedrooms equipped with queen size beds and down comforters. We welcome a maximum of four guests (including children) who may be accommodated at this property. The bathroom features a large shower. The study offers wireless high-speed internet connection, desk and bookshelves. The living room’s gas fireplace offers both the flame of a realistic fire and will keep you cozy and warm. It is controlled manually or by a thermostat. The house is heated by a gas wall heater that is controlled by a thermostat. Carpet is in the living room/dining room and bedrooms, while the kitchen and bathroom are tiled.

It is the philosophy of Monterey Bay Properties that you should need to bring only your clothes and food - you will find the home equipped with everything you might need. For entertainment, enjoy Dish Networks (HBO, Cinomax, etc.), DVD/CD and Stereo. The dining table will seat six people comfortably. You will find the kitchen includes everything needed to prepare and serve hamburgers to gourmet meals. There is a self-cleaning, free standing electric range/oven with convection air, microwave and full size refrigerator/freezer. The dishwasher makes clean up a breeze. The back porch includes a washer/dryer and has a perfect spot to sit and read a book. The landscaped yards are maintained by a gardener and are on an automatic watering system. The back yard is fully fenced and includes a redwood deck, patio furniture with Weber barbecues and is ideal for outdoor dining. There is a two-car detached garage available upon request


Monthly rates include local phone service, cable TV, water, trash collection, and all related taxes, fees and move-out housekeeping. Monthly rates do not include gas and electricity.
