This mid-century California ranch-style home has been updated to make your Monterey Peninsula vacation a welcome respite. It will give you a centrally-located staging spot for daily excursions for golf, sport fishing or whale watching, hiking, beachcombing, bicycling, or just cruising the shops. Located in the Del Monte Forest, this home is within a mile of Seventeen Mile Drive, Spanish Bay and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club, a short walk to Asilomar Beach, and just a short drive to the bright lights of San Francisco, or the redwoods of Big Sur. Closer to “home,” Carmel can be reached with a leisurely drive along Seventeen Mile Drive, whether your objective is a visit to the Carmel Mission, art galleries, the beaches, or just people-watching.
As part of the overall endeavor to welcome guests, the three bedrooms each boast hotel-quality mattresses from the Monterey Mattress Company: two with California King beds, and one Queen bed, will accommodate a party of six easily. The kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher, microwave, and garbage disposer, so your vacation can include home cooking, and use of the outdoor BBQ, as well as easy access to the Peninsula’s varied restaurant options. The utility room includes washer, dryer, ironing board, and a computer/printer desk area. Two guest passes to the Monterey Aquarium are available for checkout from Monterey Bay Property Management for guests’ use during their visit.
At-home entertainment options include cable television, DVD players in each bedroom (Blu-Ray in living room), and WiFi internet access. There is a gas fireplace in the living room, for the occasional foggy coastal night, and outdoor seating areas for enjoying sunny afternoons and quiet birdsong, or the BBQ for grilling (fresh salmon?). Each home is fully furnished and equipped with cookware,
dinnerware, and kitchen linen. Beds have mattress pads,
sheets, pillows and pillow cases, blankets and bed
spreads or comforters. There are bath towels, hand
towels, and washcloths in the bathrooms, as well as
enough soap and paper products to get you started
